How many of you remember your first bike? I sure do. It was a SEARS banana seat special. I loved that bike when I received it. I rode it, and rode it, and rode it. And then something happened. I picked up Bicycle Motocross Action magazine at the Walden books (remember them)? It was in the late 70’s, and on the cover was the coolest picture I had ever seen. RL Osborn was on a BMX bike jumping through a ring of fire! I was absolutely hooked. From there, I started rebuilding my SEARS banana seat special into a pseudo BMX bike. It wasn’t long till I broke that. I guess it it wasn’t made to jump off curbs and do tricks LOL. From there, I have owned more bikes than anyone really deserves. I have continued to ride bikes, and I have been fortunate to work in the bike industry for more than two decades. What started as a passion when I was 7, ended up where I am at today…and the journey continues!
